<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"><img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif" border="0"><img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">my bf is in now with a collasped lung, hisfifth one. a lot depends on corbon dioxide building up in your blood to. so they put you on ivs while you are in there, they say might as well why you are here. a lot depends on you as to how fast you recover. if you are down, the carbon can stay in you for a while.its hard to be up beat when you are in, but we manage. a little goofyness, and a lot of joking around helps us. she needs to stay up beat, and take the smallest dose of meds, so you are not a zombie. try tollerating the pain as much as possible, try to stay awake as much as possible in the day, you heal faster, and sleep better at night. some of this sounds crazy, but it works. the first day or two you dont want to talk or any thing. it gets better, you look foward to going home, and you try to take precautions, and you are careful on what you do, like lifting etc... dont know if this helps, but everyone is diffrtent. we are on the transplant list now, <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"><img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"><img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> its hard to answer for someone else, we can only tell what we have been through. good luck.
