so, i looked back at some old threads to see what kinds of nebulizers everybody uses. here is what i found:

omeron--looked cool but they were expensive and small, so i'm not sure they would deliver the medicine properly?

inspiration--seems fairly priced but i'm not hot about those flat folding models

devilbiss pulmo-aide and pulmo-mate are again folding models, but the smaller pulmo-aide compact looks neat!

pari pro neb ultra ii-- is this what most of you have? i know it is the compressor that has been involved in most of the cf trials. i know this sounds silly but have you adult people seen the pediatric version of this model?? it is the exact same machine only green! and comes with a purple tube! i am definitly getting the green if i go for the ultra ii.

what sort of requirements does a nebulizer need to have to be effective for pulmozyme, albuterol/hs, and tobi?

i guess i am leaning toward the devilbiss compact or the pari pro neb ultra ii (green!) <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> any comments on these??

oh, one other thing...what is the deal with the Pari LC Star and Pari LC Sprint nebulizers? they look the same as the plain old LCs i'm used to using... any information about these would be greatly appreciated.

I love my Pro Neb Ultra. The only issue I have is that I can't take it to Europe. So I had to buy a seperate Euro-PARI if you will. Now i have two! Isn't CF fun????

Ry had a Pari Proneb, and he didn't like boring compressors either, so he decorated his! His thought was that if he had to have the stuff, it may as well be fun. lol

I like the Pulmo-aide(currently I have the compact one). I don't think you can find better, more durable nebulizers than Devilbiss!

My 2nd choice is PARI

According to Chiron(makers of TOBI) Pulmo-aide is their only reccomended for TOBI

We started with a pari-proneb and for us, treatment times seemed to take longer -- especially when DS started tobi. Maybe the pari proneb ultra was faulty to begin with 'cuz I know others don't have 35-45 minute tobi treatments. A relative gave us an older devillbiss and we used it at the outlaws and noticed tobi only took 20 minutes. So I ordered up a new devillbiss -- not the compact model. The regular sized one. We use the devillbiss at home and take the pari on road trips 'cuz it's so compact and fits in a small backpack.

liza--are you talking about the proneb ultra ii model? or the older one?

for you guys with the pari pro neb ultra ii, how long does it take you to do pulmozyme and tobi?? what about with the devilbiss?
