hey there, i am also the only member of my family who has CF, the best thing i have done is found others online with CF who i can chat to; they know what you are going through!there is a teen msg board on this website with a few posts on it, or there is a UK website http://www.cftrust.org.uk which has a teen talk board which is fairly active....best of luck, remember, doesnt really matter how old the people who you talk to are, we all know what its like to have CF <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I have a HUGE extended family, lots of cousins, aunts and uncles, second cousins ect. and I'm the only one with CF. I felt alone, like I was being punished for no reason when I was growing up. When my cousins and sister were ready to have children, they all had genetic screaning. They were thankful that they knew that CF was in the family, and I was thankful that they were all responsible. It's normal to be angry and upset and feel lonley. In a way you are different, but you don't have to deal with it alone. In time you'll feel better, I promise.Debbie22 yr old w/ CF
