Who would be interested in participating in a hot chick contest? I think this would be fun. Anyone up for it??</end quote>

I think this is sexist, and no, I'm not a prude. It's not "fun", it's about encouraging women to subject themselves to judgment from an anonymous kid online. This isn't Myspace. I don't care to see women vying for the "hottest chick" title. Can you not see how that is inappropriate here?

This culture is obsessed enough with the superficial. People suffering from a disease often feel bad enough about their bodies being destroyed by disease.

This forum is for adults living with CF. Perhaps you should try the Off-Topic Forum on this site: http://www.cysticfibrosis.com/...fm?catid=17&entercat=y .

I think it would be fun. CF is in your face 24/7 and there are times to just let go. Haley had a good idea and so did Lex.

People have baby contest, Miss America etc so there really is not anything wrong with just living and having fun. Life is short so enjoy it.

THis is posted in off topic and we will never all agree about anything. It is not in the human nature to do so. I have seen things on here I do not like and I just don't post or go to that topic. Not a big deal.

These are adults living with CF who would like to have a fun contest.
If you can't look at yourself in the mirror and laugh at the circumstances SOMETIMES, you'll be depressed.

The topic on this site should be changed then to Adults living with CF who have to be serious all the time.

I think this could actually be a fun topic. I just laugh every morning when doing my breathing treatments while doing my hair and make-up. I believe the best thing to keep us from getting depressed from this disease is to make fun of it. My sister and I do alot sarcasm to get through the every day issues so lets have fun with this.

Please don't make generalizations. One circumstance is not "all the time".

The issue is that the post was inappropriate for the forum you originally put it in. The moderators have move it to a more appropriate forum, and for that, I thank them.
