Cough Question

Johnny had a runny nose all last week, but there was no other symptom. Now for the last couple days Johnny and his little sister have a yucky cough. We have bumped his vest up to 5 times a day. But, tonight the cough won't stop poor little guy can't sleep. Do I call the clinic in the middle of the night? Haven't had this happen before. I wanted to give him a couple days to see if he could clear it on his own. Since the whole house has the same cough. Ohh I should of called this afternoon.......Kicking myself

You are only doing your best. Give the clinic a call today. I also give my child a chance to see if the cough will go away on its own; with extra VEST and nebs...Sometimes it does and sometimes not...Hope today is a better day.

We've done this, too. And sometimes DS is perfectly fine when we do increase treatments. Call the clinic in the morning and see about getting him in. Hope he's feeling better.

That is the initial treatment (increase vest and nebs) that our clinic usually prescribes, so I usually try it for a day or two before I call.
