Okay, so now Caleb has cultured Pseudo. I kinda expected it because his breath was smelling weird and he did have a little cough every once in a great while.
Now, after being on Tobi and Cipro for about a week, he has got a pretty good cough going on. My hope, is that this means the pseudo is being coughed out.
Anyone experienced this??? Why do you think he has a cough now and not so much before???

Blessings,
Missa

Wonder if the Tobi is irritating him. Does he cough more during treatments? Have you been instructed to use a bronchodilator before Tobi? Or is the cough pretty much the same all the time. And the question that is sometimes hard to answer -- Is it the Pseudo that is bothering him or is it something else?

i sometimes cough when i start my abx on cycle. usually inflammation is reduced and all the mucus that's been trapped behind inflammation is finally coming out.

CFer's just cough though... and with PA they will cough as well as you know.

If its more of a "junky" cough then the meds are probably breaking things up in his lungs. If his more of an irritated cough then the TObi might be drying his throat (which often is what causes hoarseness) or his airways are reacting to it.

Although both are common.....its how severe the reactive airways become that is the concern.

Is he doing albeuterol or some type of bronchodialator beforehand to help open the airways?
