Coughing Blood

Hi guys, It is the third time this year that i cough blood, i don't know the reason behind that as most CF patients dont experience that, but my case is deteriorating quickly and horribly. Any clues to that ! Rami 21 with CF

Actually, is is VERY normal to cough up blood in your sputem. You can break blood vessles when you're coughing hard. It can also be caused by infection. It usually isn't anything to get upset about, even though it looks awful. But there are a few things to watch for :are you bringing up more blood than mucus, is it BRIGHT red? If it doesn't stop on its own and you bring up blood every time you cough, or if it seems to get worse, then you should call your doc and they may advise you to go to the ER. Because it can be a clue of infection, keep track of when it happens so you can mention it to your doc at your next visit. It happens to me occasionally and is because I have a duel microbacterium.Debbie22 yr old w/ CF

I used to cough up blood all the time at least 5-9 times a day. I hated and worried about it all the time and didn't want to tell anyone. When I told my doctor I took Vitamin K and it stoped i only cough up blood about twice a week.

Dear Rami,My name is laura and I am having the exact same problem usually my doctor says I have MRSA I cough the blood up almost everyday though. I am 22 yrs old

Dear rami, i have lost my sister to CF and my best friend to CF. and both times before they past they experienced coughing up blood. im not sure of your age or how severe your condition is. but i hope the best for you.

Hi, my name is Robbie Cooper and i am doing a project for school on CF. I was just wondering if someone could leave me some info on what life is like with CF, and what it is like to have a family member who has CF. It would help alot, thanx
