I was just wondering where everyone lived, in the city or country. Right now we live close to the city but not in the city and it is about 15-20 minutes from childrens where our pulmonary drs are. My husband wants to move out in the country and it would take us about 45 minutes to get there. I am worried because what if something happened? Out there who knows how long it would take someone to get to our house if I needed them( like an ambulance or something) and what if one of them were in the hospital? We couldnt just switch who is up there because it is such a long drive. I would love to be out in the country and I think it would be better for my babies lungs but I am so scared to be so far away from everything! What do you think? Would this be better for their lungs?

Thanks

This portion of the forum is really for stuff like "omg did you see american Idol" or "my dog is so funny" or "roses are red, violets are blue..." because there was so much "chit chat" about nothing related to CF going on and it was getting kind of annoying so the administrator put this here. I think where you initially put it in the adults section was perfect, I responded there.

Its kind of funny julie, I thought you would never bother coming into off-topic, what with you having limited time on the computer and all because theres so many random posts in here, it would take you ages to get through them all! Im not trying to pick an argument or anything so please don't get offended!

Actually, I was home sick yesterday with bronchitis so I had pleanty of time I usually don't have to look on the computer. It was actually a nice change for me and I went back and read and re-read some posts that I wanted to see but didn't have time to read.
You are right though, I usually don't even bother to view the off topic because it have limited time at work.

I live in the country. Until I moved in with Brian (boyfriend) I lived in the city. Now I wouldn't change it. There's nothing like sitting on the fromt porch in the summer. There's so many stars. Love, love, love it. I never noticed them until I moved to the country. There very vivid.

We used to live just outside the city with our 4 yr old (w/cf). We read an article which made us consider a move to the country, and much further away from the hospital. We asked our CF team and they would not give us an opinion because they did not want to influence a major change in or lives. In the end the article we read convinced us that the move was the right thing to do. After the house was bought the CF team did tell me that they thought we had made the right decision and it would most definitely benefit her overall health. We are glad we made the decision and believe that we may avoid some hospital visits simply because she is breathing better air on a day-to-day basis. Good luck with your decision

I grew up in the country on a farm. I live in a small town right now. We are going to buy a house in a small town or out in the country in the next month. I like less people. I dont like crowded cities.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> I like fresh air too.
