Intresting stuff !!! I tend to eat at least 3 curries a week from an indian anyway so this is an added bonus for me, i find that also eating a korma curry helps with putting on weight to

Well just to touch on that topic, I found that once I started trying to build more muscle mass part of my routine involved drinking whey protien shakes after(whole milk whey and nestle quick). I've noticed that my whole respitory system feels better, less coughing, less stuffiness, quicker turn around times when I get sick, hell I think I might have actually smelled the soap this morning when I took a shower. It could be the working out, but I think it's the whey. I did a quick search on it after seeing your article and appears it could be true. Just something else to keep in mind.

Whey a component of milk, think the of the nursery rhyme little miss muffet... eating her curds and whey. Curd becomes cheese and whey is the other stuff not sure what they do with it. Anyway I get it from GNC or any health food store, as unflavored whey. They have flavored whey , but it tends to have artificial sweeteners, esp Splenda or aspartame both of which I stay away from. By smelling the soap I meant that I smelled soap. I lost my sense of smell, from the constant nasal inflammation I assume since I can still taste. So for me to smell something is pretty exciting, though sometimes maybe it's a benefit not too

CURCUMIN......that is the 'agent' that is in tumeric and curry that they are accrediting their most recent findings with respect to 'curing' CFThe mice who ate curcumin in large doses....which is not recommended that you do, worried there may be side effects to the medication you take and so on...anyway, the mice had symptoms of cf begin to slow and even disappear in some cases. Some mice with cf, treated with curcumin lived as long as mice w/o cfTHAT IS A BREAKTHROUGH!!!!I'm excited, for sure.LynnMom of 2, 1 w/cf

I want to stress this point! It doesn't say CURE! It seems as if people are misconstrewing what they are reading in the article. It says that it may benefit CFer, it may help in other words. Maybe suppress the symptoms of CF to the point where we can live with CF with minimal interferance from it. But even that is still a long way away. We will see over the summer what the first stage study of CFers is. Until then all we can really say is there is a possiblility for a new step toward the cure of CF.
