dannon activia yogurt

I just wondered if anyone has experienced any help from activia yogurt. It's said to help digestion. I realize it's not an enzyme supplement or anything, but I've been having some normal, non-cf GI problems and was wondering if it would help. I just wanted to see if anyone else here had tried it and got some good results.

Hi

You're better off to use a pro biotic, yogurts are great for food, but if you want the benefits you mention, the best way to obtain them is via a pro biotic.

I have good luck with simple yogurt. Granted I have never eaten it to assist with major problems. BUT it has always kept yeast infections at bay & my bowl movements regular.

Same here <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> . I eat the Activia- I like it, but I've eaten yogurt everyday for years, so I don't know that it's been much different than the others.

I also am a big yogurt eater. I have never had a yeast infection but did deal with the occasional ((sorry this is graphic)) itchy vagina and also some cracking occasionally. My area between my vagina and anus would sometimes get sore like a diaper rash and my anus would sometimes get fissures. None of this would I have ever thought of as a "yeast infection." Since starting probiotics I don't experience any of this. Ah it feels great!

this is funny. as soon as i saw those commercials i thought about posting to see if this "l. casei immunitas" was useful to Cfers or just some made-up science to sell yogurt. i don't know...i'd be interested to try it except that i looked at it in the store and it has a ton of sugar (like all yogurt) and i'm trying to switch my tastebuds to PLAIN yogurt.

if it would help our immune defence by strengthening our GI tract, it seems worthwhile... but how much better than plain yogurt i'd want to know??
