In theory, both arms should give the same results. I have heard one person on the boards here say he gets two pretty different reading from each arm, but I don't recall what the numbers were or how large the span was.

When you had it done was it on the same day, at the same facility and by the same technician?

i was under the impression that usually sweat was collected from both arms for quality control purposes. The sweat chloride concentration should be close (not identical though) from each arm. If they are very different that typically indicates an error was made by the lab or the technician or that the instruments were calibrated incorrectly.

Was your child's sweat test preformed by a CFF accredited facility???? I think that would be the most important info as to whether the results are trustworthy or not. Also i don't see any reason why you shouldn't inquire about why the lab tests only one arm instead of both for quality control purposes...
