Both kids are in the trial (the randomized portion still). Interested how those in the open label part are feeling. So how are you feeling?

My son just passed the 6 month mark and is now definitely on the drug. I have noticed what I think is a slight increase in his cough, but nothing out of the ordinary. Also, he just blew 98 and 100% on his pft's. His pft's prior to getting involved in the trial varied, but were generaly good (unless he was just getting over a cold). It does seem they have increased some. This might be just coincidence, but he seems to be eating more and the variety of foods he likes has increased. Have you notived any change in your children?

It's hard to know if our oldest is on the drug or not - she's always done so well. But since she's been on the trial she hasn't coughed as much. For a long time she had been coughing, a clear your throat kind of cough, but fairly persistent. That's gone.

If the drug works, then our youngest doesn't seem to be on it because we haven't seen any improvement. I guess I'm hoping that she's not on it at this point. Hope we see an improvement during the open label portion.

For the first six months I did not see any improvement either, hopefully you will see some change in the next 6 months. I have heard some good things about this drug so I am keeping my fingers crossed. I hope that when all is said and done and it hopefully makes it all the way to market, they determine that 1 or 2 doses instead of the 3 per day is enough. It is tough tring to fit it in during the day at school.
