Hi, Can anyone help me with some suggestions about my sons diaper rash? He is 2 weeks old and on Ultrase. He has severe diaper rash which makes him scream when we change him. I've heard that there are some home remedy's that may help.ThanksDebi

Debi, I remember when Ashley started her enzymes she got the same diaper rash. At one point it was so bad that the wounds opened and she was bleeding. It was tough and I can sympathize. This is a guaranteed remedy which I used until she was potty trained and recommend it to all moms just as a way to save money. It is also better for the baby (no alcohol).Baby Wipes1 roll of Bounty paper towel (cut in half to make 2 smaller rolls) - Remove cardboard center1 1/2-2 cups water (depending how wet of a wipe you like)2 tsp baby oil1 tsp baby wash or baby shampooMix the liquids in a container that will fit the paper towel. Place a small roll of Bounty in the container and cover. Let it sit and wipes are ready in about 20 mins. Pull wipes from center of roll.To bring in a diaper bag just put them in a ziploc bag and you're good to go. This is the only thing that worked for her diaper rash and she was better in a few days (maybe a week).Heather

Thanks Heather,I'm going to make them right now. My CF doctor switched his enzymes and gave me some prescription cream, but so far the rash is still there. I'm hoping your remedy will work. I'll let you know. Thanks,Debi

We used something called Triple Paste at every diaper change. It helped heal rashes quickly and better yet, prevent them. It is OTC but your pharmacy may have to order it. Good luck!
