Congrats! I didn't get sicker during pregnancy, just had uncontrollable asthma (1/3 of women w/ asthma will get better, 1/3 will get worse, and 1/3 will stay the same - mine got WAY worse during both pregnancies). You won't need bedrest just because of CF. If you need it, it will be for other, unrelated factors that any woman might experience.

Take care of yourself! Rest when you feel you need to. Don't overdo it. You'll be fine <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Hi Becca,

Congratulations! I had a wonderful pregnancy and did not have any complications with my CF during the pregnancy. It was a great experience. Good luck to you! We're all here if you have questions as you go along.

Becca,
First of all, Congrats! I was threatened with bed rest multiple times, due to some unexplained vaginal bleeding--nothing to do with my CF.
Towards the end of my pregnancy I got a little sick, and since the growing baby had restricted my lung movement I had a difficult time getting better.
Overall, things went GREAT! I feel like it was not so much pregnancy itself, but (once the baby was born) the lack of sleep and demands of taking care of a newborn that were harder on my body.
Again, congratulations and best of luck with everything! If you ever want to talk, I'd love to!
