How much is it into disneyland at the gate? Do they do offers at the gate, (kids free, buy one get one free etc. etc.). Last time we went we bought our 'hopper' tickets here in the UK, this time around we will be concentrating on Universal, but still want to go to Magic KIngdom. We go in August, I would imagine that prices may vary by season.

If you come to LA in August it's hot as hell (110) and if your kids are anything like typical CF kids, the heat will be torture. I would recommend November/December time frame.

So take a lot of water and stop and rest often. I have heard that Disney has gotten so big that you could go 12 hrs, every day for 2 weeks straight and not see everything. So you might want to write down what you want to see the most <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> I hope you have fun. I havent been since I was 5 but I still remember it.
