average life expectancy in the uk is 32. the important word being AVERAGE, therefore just coz you hit 32 you dont just drop dead!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

I really don't mind people asking the life expectancy as lon gas they remember its just a number some yahoos put together. OK I know they really aren't yahoos but you can't live life going by a number some research showed. ITs just a guess by how long people are living these days and its really not correct in my book. Here is why. I am on many many different cf forums, all different people. All ages, 50s, 40s, 30s, 20s, teens and under 10. Most people are either over 30 or under 30. One I frequent most often the people there range from ages 15-34. But there are plenty over 40 with cf and still going stong, without transplant and some with transplant. Also 30 years ago when cf was a death sentence for kids, they said life expectancy was 4-10. Those children grew past ten, those yahoos were confused and did some more research and said life expectancy is 14-18, those same people lived past that. So on and so forth. Now when these same people and people in my age group (teen-twenties) grow past the 32-39 mark, there will be another study and another life expectancy number, probably given 54-57. I don't live by life expectancy numbers, we keep living past them and raising the bar. So just remember its just a number that the yahoos haven't changed yet. lol AB
