Does anyone deal with constant nausea?

I've known I had CF for about four years now. I'm 51 years old.

I have a deltaF508 and a D1152h so it's like medium onset instead of late onset.

I've had constant daily nausea as well as very poor appetite since I was roughly in my mid thirties but getting worse now.

Just wondering if anyone else experiences this extreme hunger pain / nausea on a regular basis?

I assume it's part of the mal-absorption complex of symptoms.... extreme hunger pains could be a typical response to a failure to deliver the vitamin D and calcium like we're supposed to.

I have the feeling of craving something but it's like an itch I can never scratch it seems. So my body says it's HUNGRY!!! all the time, but can't ever really get what it needs.

Are you taking digestive enzymes like Creon? This sounds like a malnutrition issue.

I was dx at age 47 also. I will be 74 in January. I agree with welchwitch, this sounds like a digestive issue. If you can find a Gastro/CF Specialist, you should see him/her, otherwise discuss this with your CF Specialist.

My son has been dealing with this for several months. Nausea and eating helps but only for a little while. He had a blockage-thought that was the problem but not. Has seen a specialist who diagnosed inflamed gallbladder. Started him on actigall -has helped some. Then added Zantac. It is frustrating. Doesn't want to remove gallbladder. I never thought digestive issues would be worse than lungs but it is for him right now. I'm going to try to get him to push for further testing. He's an adult so he has to decide. Tested him for hpylori but was neg.

Digestive issues can, depending upon mutations, be worse than lung problems. It is a misconception that CF is a "lung disease".

I have a miracuolous home remedy that almost completely solve my problems. It's drinking Sodium-Chloride solution !!! Just a little every day, I also inhale it (boil it then inhale) and it cured muy lungs, I tried it first a month ago and it was a miracle to me. I advice everyone to try it. It is probably so beneficial as the main problem with cf is actually not transporting water and electrolites through lungs, intestines etc. This was a true miracle for me I advice everyone to try it it can do no harm.
drinking Sodiium-Chloride solution for intravenouous rehidratation!!!A miraculous home remedy!!!

Have you found any relief from your problem? My mother has been suffering the same symptoms for 18 months with no solution. There are many forums describing the problem, but remedies are either not found or not reported
