Does anyone know anything about CF metabolic syndrome?

<P>The CF specialist called today with the results of my daughter's colon tissue testing and he said it was abnormal.  Her results is what he would expect from a child with CF.  He said her colon is unhealthy and he was shocked when he was in OR at the amount of colon that had to be removed and how tortuos it was.   She had to have 28 inches removed.  He is waiting for pathology to finish their part of the testing to make a final decision.  He said she will have to do another sweat test (third one) and if it comes back borderline again then she will be diagnosed with CF metabolic syndrome.  Has anyone heard of this, have this, or know anything about this?</P>
