How much do you all pay for domestic fuel?
In the UK our gas has risen by 90% over the past 3 years, and now they want us to pay even more for the upgrade of the pipe network, £8 billion, the same increase almost for electric over the past 3 years.

Now you know Scotland is not the warmest country in the world, and so its begining to worry me, having huge heating bills or keeping the heat down.

craig , we moved house last sept. and we had an antiquated oil fired heating system in the new house. we had that upgraded to gas and the plumber set the boiler and left. i kept saying to aled (husband) " oooohhh it's like toast in this house". then we got the bill £100 PER MONTH-------- BLOODY HELL---------- the plumber went on his merry way after setting the boiler to maximum " SWINE" . we are also worried about the cost this year but we have to have the heating on for joe. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

yes Janet thats what I was meaning, we have to have the heating on for Craig.
Turn your heating to 69, that is the lowest you can have it before the temperature will start to work for bacteria.

SPEAK ENGLISH.....LOL what does swine mean in the particular case? I have the general idea of the post, but was just wondering! BTW The BLOODY HELL reminds my daughter of the character Ron in Harry Potter. That is one of his favorite sayings. No input on the actual topic at hand sorry!

if you call someone a "swine" it is derogatory like calling someone a "*****" . "bloody hell" is a staple swear word here. it's not considered a " bad " cuss. mel , i love that line in harry potter the one where ron says "that was bloody brilliant " to maggie smith and then she says " thankyou for that assesment mr. weasley. hilarious !!!!! also proof that it isn't considered to be that rude 'cos harry potter films are 12 cert.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
