Dreams

Now I know this may be an odd topic, but I got to thinking about dreams, mostly about my own.
After some thought I realised in my dreams I never have CF in them, I dont cough,I dont have trouble breathing and I can run for miles and keep up with everyone.
But I am confused, since all ive ever known is having CF yet it doesnt convert into my dreams.
Now,I have had plenty of dreams of being in hospitals, im usually lost or people are chasing me to keep me there but im not feeling sick,I am running from them without a problem or taking a break.
I was just curious to see if anyone has had simular experiences,or if you have anything peculiar in your dreams.

thankyou

P.S
Another pain in the butt is when I get an IV taken out it seems to take a long time for my brain to understand its not there and I frequently wake up to check it when it was taken out 2 weeks ago lol

I can't remember being sick or short of breath in dreams either, but since I've been going through transplant eval I had a dream that I could run as far and as fast as I wanted and woke up crying, so on some level I guess I recognised the significance of being able to run like that. I've also had dreams of playing hockey and doing marching band, things I haven't been able to do in almost 4 yrs.

mag6125, I have had dreams where I was running like I used to when I was a little kid, satisfying some primal desire to use your body to just GO -- I have also woke up crying after dreams like this. "I guess I recognised the significance of being able to run like that." This is a very insightful comment and perfectly verbalizes the subconscious impression these dreams have left me with.

Proxy, my overall impression of my dreams is that I DON'T have CF. I can fly, run, turn invisible, etc...

The only thing I dream related to Cf is that I have an IV and I forget and jump into a pool, or it gets pulled out accidentally, or they tie me down to give me one even though I'm not sick. Weird!

Im guessing alot of us have a fear of needles and hospitals that converts into our dreams.
But I am glad that many of you share this with me, that at least in our dreams we can have a break from CF

wow...what a great topic!

I have never, ever had CF in my dreams, neither when I was actually able to run and jump and march (I did marching band too) nor now, when just the thought of those activities make me start coughing and get me SOB.

Come to think of it, I've had dreams where I've KNOWN I've had CF, but while running from my third grade math teacher who is trying to steal my teeth, I'm thinking "I have CF, I'm not physically able to do this, what should I do?" And by the time I've 'devised a plan' to outrun who is chasing me, I realize, "Oh, I ran the whole way with no problems. I'm in the gumdrop forest already. I'm safe."

So I guess, since I've gotten older, and my CF has reared it's ugly head, I've recognized my CF in my dreams, but it still has never actually 'affected' me in my dreams. I'm still able to run, jump, shout...

weird.
