I went through those periods quite frequently. Don't let it go on for a long period of time, because the weight loses can add up. If you are going through try to make calorie packed snacks, to atleast keep up the calorie count. They have a few products out now that can help with that. Scandishake, Scandical (powder like the scandishake but not flavored) The scandishake is a powder that you are supposed to mix with milk and it creates a drink (chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla flavors) those are good by themselves, plus add them to icecream and make a shake. They should help. Talk to your doctor if you are really concerned though.~Candice

My son Cameron is 2 1/2 and for some reason he will not eat anything that has any type of consistency to it. All I can get him to eat is yogurt, step 3 baby foods like green beans, carrots and peas. Has anyone had this problem with kids. Also if his stomach hurts he won't eat well. Maybe your little one is having stomach pains. He is on Prylosec, but when insurance only wanted to pay for the generic brand I noticed his eating habits went down. He is now back on Prylosec and is a little better. I would give anything if he would eat an hamburger and fries.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0">

He does have seveal bowel movements each day. He is 30 lbs and has not gained any weight since April 2003. His are sometimes oily and lose and sometimes they are compacted together. But for the most they are lose. And boy will they smell up the house. I will try to gummy bears with him. He will eat potato chips but not a hamburger. I just don't understand it. I guess I will try some chewy things. I want him to put some weight on him. Has anyones child been written out of school? Mine has, this CF doctor wrote him out and he is going to be home schooled for a while. His Dr. isn't sure how long he will have to do this. He gets sick so easily. Also do you know of any support groups in the Atlanta area for families with CF kids? I would like to attend them. I still have a hard time dealing with not his illness but the fact his dad left 1 month after we found out. Thanks,Sherri
