my girlfriend just went to a really intense rock concert where she was pushed around in a mosh. she called me afterward and had lots of trouble breathing and said her chest hurt and that she was coughing up blood.

should she go to the ER?

please let me know quickly, either here or via private message.

thank you all.

Is it a few teaspoons or a few tablespoons? More than a few tablespoons would mean go to the er most likely, but with the chest pain and blood, I would say call her doctor (there should be a doctor on call at her clinic, if not her actual regular doctor) and let them know what is going on.

Oh, and if she hasn't coughed up blood before, she needs to call either way, too.

I would tell her to go to the ER (or at the very least call the doctor). Coughing up blood can be very serious and with the chest pain, I would be very concerned. My husband has coughed up a lot of blood in the past, so we would see how much it is before going in, but this sounds like it might be new, and it if it is new, I would definitely get it checked out.
