Enzyme ??

I was reading the banana thread and I was wondering: when and with what do you take your enzymes? I take mine with just about everything - I always did, since childhood, but now I am wondering if I actually need to do that. It never occured to me to just take them with fatty foods. huh. I take Creon 250 (I think) 4 with meals and 3 with snacks. I don't take then with candy usually, or drinks, but I do with about everything else, but I can't remember ever being told when to taken them....wondering what your habits are?!

I dont take any with candy or drinks, but I do with everything else. I think that the smaller the meal/snack it is easier to forget or to think that you don't need them (for me, its easier to remember to take them if its food I'm sitting down to eat). I take 3-4 pills when I eat (4 if its a larger portion), and if its really fatty or greasy, then I'll take 4.

Really, you need to take them no matter what you eat, but if you are just eating something really small (like one banana or a candy bar), taking 1 pill with it may be too much enzyme? Good question, guess I've never really thought about it before.

emm.... i have a little daily routine with my work and all, every monday - fri i will go to work and have 2 bacon rol's for breakfast about 10 oclock, i wil take 2 then, i will have a bananna after that and then go home for lunch about 12, i will go home for lunch but not have any cause i am still full, i then have to apples throughout the afternoon ( no enzymes) then when i go home for T i will have two with my T, dependin on what i have obviously, the max i ever take is 2, so 4 enzymes a day is my maximum, i only reall got told to take them with fatty foods. that was all they really said to me, so this little system works for me so i hope i have kinda helped u in a way with me tellin u about how i take them all!

I take Creon 25 - 4 with every meal. I take creon with everything I eat, except for fruits and veggies, steak, chicken and pork chops, juice, pop and kool-aid. If I have small amounts of cheese or dairy I usually don't have to take enzymes.

Hi,

we need the enzyms especially for resorbing fat ( which is also in steak, chicken, eggs and even some vegetables like avocados or olives and of course in grilled vegetables), but:
most kinds of fruit and veggies don´t contain fat, but we eat them to get minerals and vitamins. Many vitamins can only get resorbed by our body with a little amount of fat ( thats why its said its better to eat carrots not raw).
So the best thing for us would be to eat a little bit of chocolate, icecream etc. with each fruit and a little butter, oil or something with vegetables or drink some milk and -of course - take some enzyms with it. So we could really "get the best" out of every kind of food.

When I was younger I took less enzyms, because I didn´t have problems to keep my weight and I didn´t want to get too heavy...
Now I have to take more to be able to keep my weight. I use the Kreon 10000 and 25000, so sometimes for example for a small chocolate barr I take only one of the 10000, for the McDonald cheeseburger I take 2 of the 10000 and for 3 cheeseburgers I would take 2 of the 25000 plus one 10000.
