Is anyone watching the Euro besides Rami and I? Did you see the fantastic win that Turkey pulled off the other day? (Though Rami insists it was "just luck"!)

Funny. Amongst all my friends, I am by far the biggest soccer nut. I follow MLS/USL, NCAA, the English Premier League, and like to read up on the Australian A-League. I post on BigSoccer.com. I forgot I didn't put this thread up.

I have been watching a lot of Euro 08, but haven't been good about remembering group standings. I know the Dutch are on fire, and sadly the Swiss are out, but I'll be excited to see the knockout begin. Less teams to follow.

I just got done with the Sweden match . Caught almost the last half, but had to have an MRI earlier. 2:0 loss, so looks like SWE are out. I think from here on, I'll be for the Dutch.

Makes me curious about the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Apparently that's in '09. I haven't even seen that, but it is our zone's equivalent tourney, apparently.

The Spain/Greece one was great. I don't think I have heard of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Now we start the quarte-finals, will be easier, only one game a day!

The Gold Cup is CONCACAF (North America/Central America/Carribean) 's equivalent to the Euro tourney. The championship for national teams in the region.

Right now, I have Germany and Portugal on. It's from Basel, which had a problematic turf for earlier in the tourney. I know someone attempted a cross and it just plain stuck right in front of goal. But it was almost monsooning, so perhaps that exascerbated it. But....well...go Portugal!

And then Chicago Fire at Chivas USA (MLS).
