i think you should definately keep up with the exercise. maybe not outdoors in the cold, but even if you havnt got much energy, you should always do a little bit each day to fill those lungs with air.

I've always heard you can do some low impact exercise (walking, easy bicycling, etc.) when you have a cold as long as you're not running a fever. If you're running a fever you should NOT exercise, as your body is already working overtime trying to fight your infections. I sometimes just walk slowly on the treadmill just to do something when I'm sick. It isn't the cardio we all need and love (lol), but its still getting my heart rate up higher than sitting on the couch, and it also makes it easier to get back into exercise once you are feeling better, since you haven't just sat around the whole time you were ill.

Hope you feel better soon!!!

As long as you feel up for it, a little light exercise is good. It keeps the mucus from "pooling." Also, walking around even a little is good for keeping the blood flowing, which ensures that the nutrients and oxygen are circulating to the parts of your body that need it most to fight infection.

And drink PLENTY of water. Every hour on the hour is a good way to make sure you get enough.

Feel better!

I've always exercised when i've had a cold or flu, you might not be able to do as much but I think it's important to stay active when sick.

I exercise through colds. I think it helps me to move 'junk' around & not let it sit in my chest. I figure, the more I move it and get it out, the better off I am.
Unless I have a fever (and that means I'm REALLY sick) I will exercise.
