I have a bunch of extra tobramycin, and since I've stopped it and don't need it, I was wondering if I could donate it or something?

Do you mean Tobi? The inhaled stuff?

Anyway, there are laws reguarding the sharing of medications. I would be very careful about this, if someone took you meds and had a bad reaction you could be held liable.

Having said that, if you still want to give it to someone I would make sure that they have a perscription for it but are unable to pay for it.

I know it seems like a waste, I threw away 8 IV doses of meropenem this week because I wasn't tolerating it well and had to go on something else.

I've taken extra cases of Scandishake, and extra bottles of enzymes to my daughter's clinic. Everything was as I received it in the mail, sealed in the original packaging, etc. I know they donate the shakes to families who need it, not sure what they do with the enzymes. I wasn't sure when I took them over, but it seemed like it was worth a try since they'd expire before we got around to them. Anyway, your clinic might have an idea...
