extreme night sweating.....

**posted it here too, wondering if any of you have gone through this as a child?****

i know most cf'ers sweat ALOT!!! we have dealt with that issue since my daughters birth. but lately (last couple weeks) at night she is literally soaking wet with sweat,her pillow is soaked through to the other side, and her bed sheets feel like someone poured water on them. i have had to buy her a new pillow every week because hers gets so yucky! its usually just her head. when she wakes up her hair is wet-damp and stinks of sweat (even though she just had a bath before bed). i have tried putting her in a pull up and short sleve t-shirt to sleep in with just a little sheet on top and she still is soaking wet in the a.m. does this sound familiar to anyone??? what did you do or what did your cf specialist say?? (like i mentioned, this is not "normal" excessive cf sweating) would love your advise!!! thanks.

I would definitely have her blood sugars checked!
Night sweats can be caused by high blood sugars, I think low blood sugars too...but definitely high ones! I used to get night sweats before I was diagnosed with CFRD and I still get them now and then when my blood sugars run high. It's weird because the temperature and climate in the room can be perfect and I wont be hot or anything but I'll still be super sweaty and my clothes and hair will be soaked.

I want to dig out this thread because we have the same problem with our daughter. At night she is sweating like crazy, mainly the head.
She is only 4 months old and drinks only formula.

Any advice?
