For about a week now i have had extremly sore breast. It hurts to even role over in bed.
My concern is that my cycles are normally 35 days. That means i should not have even ovulated yet. I am expecting ovulation in the next few days. My breast dont normally get sore until after i ovulate.
My last period was normal as far as flow and duration.
So what can be causing this? I have had a stuffy nose too but i dont think colds can cause sore breast so wth?
Can this be pcos? Or what do you think?

Just one? Sounds like it could be a duct infection. Is there tenderness to the touch in a specific spot? If it's advanced it will be reddened. Also a sign is a fever. For me this is how I contracted MRSA. It started in my breast and made me very ill. Mastitis. I don't know the liklihood of getting it though if you are not producing milk. For me it was when I was nursing one breast was overproducing and instead of excreting all the extra milk I left it in there to try to get it to start producing only what I need. This was what I was told to do and of course in hindsight I wish I'd done differently. It did not ruin my nursing Isaac though. In fact, he helped me get over it. It felt sooo good to nurse when I had it, so healing and pressure relieving. Interestingly, when you have mastitis you are told to put the child's chin on the site of infection so when the nuzzle to nurse they massage the infection site and break it up. Nature is really amazing I tell you! To this day I think that he ingesting this infected milk (as gross as that sounds) gave him an extra dose of immunities. Everything happens for a reason right? He has cultured MRSA in his throat ever since and when he gets a cough it is a MRSA flare. Interesting eh?

No its not milk ducts, it an all over pain on both breast. Just very tender. They seem to be swollen too. So not sure what it is. They feel like they do when my period is close but exagerated (sp?). But i am mid cycle and this never happens. I have had a feeling that i might have a mild case of pcos. But havent been tested for it yet.

That is odd that you got mrsa from your mastesis. I would have never thought of that being possible. The human body is for sure strange and amazing. Does your baby have cf?

Yes he does have cf. I guess you missed that whole thing during your absence. Dad was tested for 89 mutations. Turns out he is a carrier of one of the other mutations. Son is almost 3 still no signs of it. He passes the sweat test with a score of 11. He does culture MRSA in his throat but this is not a sign of cf like PA culturing is since MRSA inhabits well beings as well. We do vest preventatively daily and agressively treat coughs that lasts more than 4 days. He also takes cf vitamins. He is pancreatic sufficient.

Ah, both breastSSSS. Yes, not mastitis then :0)
I don't know anything about PCOS but I do know when I was pregnant my breasts were swollen and tender w/i two weeks after conception.
