feeding tube lines....

i am getting very concerned with my daughters feeding tube at night....last night was the second time i have went to check on her in the middle of the night and the feeding tube is wrapped her neck!!!! she is constantly getting it tangled around her legs and she will cry out and i will go in and fix it. i have her pole at the opposite end of her crib that she goes to sleep on, but she moves around so much in her sleep that she is getting all tangled up and i am really concerned. has anyone had this problem or do you have any suggestions?????

We had this problem too. We taped Luke's line down to his leg (with the medical tape you can use for bandages) and then we would put him in snap up PJ's and just bring the tube out of the bottom snap near his foot. That helped to keep him from getting tangled up. I seem to remember too that we had to request a longer extension piece than the one that came with his mickey button kit so that we could tape it down and still give him room to move. I think the one that comes with it is a 12 in. and we had to ask for a 24 in.( the piece that actually hooks into the mickey). Hope that helps! Angela

We have the same issue!!!! We have found the cord wrapped around her neck three times! We have also had the issue of the pole falling down because she wriggles around so much it gets tangled and then she eventually pulls it down.

I am constantly checking her at night and we haven't taken the motion sensor off of her monitor yet. I would love to have a full nights sleep!
