Feeling very bloated...and irregular periods?

Hello everyone. So this may be a topic more suited to the ladies, but I just need advice. I was due for my period this week 5/2, but started spotted ever so lightly last week (and I mean VERY light, not enough to even wear a pad, sorry gentlemen). I had some light cramping with it, but again, not much to worry about. In addition to that, I had some HEAVY bloating...to the point of unbuttoning my pants while I watch tv at night (not at work of coure), but it was to the point of being uncomfortable...bulging, feeling fat...you know the drill. So fast forward to this week...Tuesday night, I FELT like I had my period, same cramps and gas pains that are normal for me. I did bleed a bit this week, but not nearly what I normally would during my period. And again, I felt uncomfortably bloated and still do. Anyway, my period usually lasts 2-3 days and this week wasn't even 24 hours and I was done. I could be pregnant, but I took a test this morning and still negative. I called my OBGYN yesterday and she is out of the office until Monday. Bummer! I am concerned because if I am pregnant (yay!) but I need to adjust my meds and whatnot, I don't want to wait too long.

If I am NOT pregnant...I have NO idea whats going on. I was on Zyvox (not when I think I could have gotten preggers, started it a few days later)...but I was also on Voriconazole. BOTH of which I have been on before with no period problems. I am so confused. Have any of you experienced these problems? Please help! I don't really want to call CF clinic until I talk to the OB as I think it is something related to that "area". Could it be a yeast infection? Do those cause bleeding? I would think I would not have that with the vori...I dunno. I have maybe once had an irregular period in the last 15 years...I am always very predictable and I am on BC so even more so. (I know the BC could render vori ineffective, btw, resulting in pregnancy)...I just want to know whats going on with my body. I am very impatient, I don't want to wait to hear from the doc on monday.

Usually at home pregnancy tests can detect pregnancy hormones until almost 2 weeks after the deed is done...Sometimes you can have slight bleeding during the first trimester of pregnancy, or at implantation. And yes any antibiotic could make Bc less effective. i would think that waiting until Monday would be okay and get ahold of you Ob/Gyn then, as they may be able to do a blood preg test, as that should be more effective at noting slight pregnancy hormones. I kinda doubt its a yeast infection, as the only bleeding you might experience from that is more from irritation, due to the yeast...And you would have more of a cottage cheese type discharge along with burning/itching, and not neccesarily bloating. I don't have Cf so i can't comment on the drug side effects...But Im giving my opinion from the perspective of having had 2 children already...Hope you can figure it out

Have you checked for gluten intolerance? I became aware of it just about a week ago and it's astonishing how many symptoms (including bloating and irregular periods) that come from it!! Besides, a diet free from gluten and diary products seems extremely good for CF and other diseases, so I'm excited about trying! Been on it for some 4 days now and feel much better.
