Does anyone else feel like s***t, tired, depressed...
Have u all got jobs? I can't get one as no-one will take me on knowing I will have to have time off for check-ups and drips etc.
I had a job last May, but they sacked me when I got ill as the shop manager hadn't told the big boss that I had CF.
As I spend a lot of time at home, anyone that wants to write to me can.

Are you in the states?? If so, as ender said, no company/employer can fire you for taking leave because you are ill. They can decline to pay you if you have used all your sick time, and they can decline you paid vacation time but you have 12 weeks each year under the Family medical leave act where your job CANNOT be in jeporady, in addition to protection under the ADA.

its true that they cant fire you for being sick but if you try to dispute it they will always make up some other excuse. i know how you feel simba. ive been fired for what i suspected to be because of my cf and i have also been knocked back from a job because of it. to be honest i dont know if there is much you can do about these situations if your cf is obvious. if you are spending alot of time at home and cant get a job perhaps do some volunteer work? i manage to find things to do during the day but i know if i ever got extremely bored id just go down to the local animal shelter or something.

Thanx for you replies.
I live in Spain.
As regards the job, they said on the phone to my Mum that I hadn't told them I had cf when I started. I told the local manager, but him being a total idiot didn't back me up. On paper they made up some other excuse.
I could have tried to take it to court, but I hadn't been there very long and it would have cost me a fortune and taken years.
