just been looking at a cf book handed out to adult patients via the cf trust about living with cf and noticed the categorisation they link your fev1 to and the state of your lungs,
fev1 70-90 mild
fev1 50-70 moderate
fev1 below 50 severe
but i also looked at some internet sites that were concerned with fev1 and lung function and their values were slightly different claiming that a fev 1 of 75 or over is considered normal, yet i also know that a normal lung function can range anything from around 80 to a 120 (fev1) based on what a cf docter told me
i be curious to find out how docters in other countries view categorisation of fev1 related to the severity of cf
