<br>Hi, I know there is some help with medicines for CF'er if they don't have medical insurance. Does anyone know of any financial help for working CF'ers? IMO we won't be working as long as other people so are there any breaks on our student loans, credit cards, mortgages....anything? I know if one become disabled payments can stop but what about help while you are working?

The financial assistance for medicine is available even if you work although most of them do have a limit on income in order to qualify. I think we had to send a copy of our taxes showing our AGI.

There is SSDI if you have work history, and you can still work and earn up to $1000 a month on SSDI and keep your SSDI.

You can also get student loans discharged if you are under the federal poverty level for a family size of 2 (regardless of your family size).

If you got disability insurance on your car or mortgage, if your dr will certify you as disabled, you can file a claim with them.

Yes, I agree with David. There are programs that help with copay payments, but your income has to be below a certain amount. You can google them to find the names.
