First day of daycare...

I just need somewhere to post my feelings right now.... the kiddo's are 14 months and just had their first day of daycare.

It was a bittersweet day for Mark and I. He's the one home, caring for them day in and day out. But we are trying to get this business off the ground and he just wasn't able to do that, network regarding the business and fulfill orders for customers. So we decided to do daycare.

I'm happy in one sense, because they get a bit more structured activities at the child development center, and all my co-workers who have kids there just sing praises about it- and they were able to put all 3 kids in one class. Plus it is clear to me that the staff loves the kids. But I'm sad that Mark no longer gets to spend all day with them, and I just hope that we made the right decision.

I think developmentally, it is a great time for them, but I'm also just a bit sad and can't explain exactly why...just wanted to share this somewhere.......

Aww, a hard first step for mommy and daddy! Is it all day or half-day? I can imagine they were quite a handful for Mark, and probably only could do something for the business when they all laid down. Hope this helps the business get going and help the family income! Our sweet babies have stepped out into the world--*sigh...

You will always struggle with that decision my dear. Since they are only little once you want to do whats right.

There are benefits to both. I think its good that they have the extra outside interaction. Not to say that it has to remain this way or that the Daycare will "raise" your little ones, but for now its good!

Relax & give those cuties lots of smooches!
