Flu and Sputum

Hi, I ve noticed that everytime i catch cold my sputum secretions decrease and my cough stops, this is weird because before the flu i was struggling against the pseudomonas but it seems to get dormant when i catch cold. By the way, this is the first time i catch cold since 2 years, ironically during these 2 years my lung function declined hugely and i had 4 hospital tuneups and always sick. Any hints!

I've noticed this too! Usually about a week after I caught the cold the mucus increases dramatically. I wonder if it decreases because there is so much inflammation in the lungs that it just can't come out.Tammy 43wcf
