Food Allergies

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any food allergies. I went to see a naturopath and she gave me a list of things my daughter should not eat (which was just about every food she eats). I spoke to the dietician to discuss it with her and she said to stop only 1 food at a time. We stopped giving her pork in November and since then she no longer has sinus or ear infections, and the pain in her knees has subsided. A few days ago we went to dinner at a friends and they served us pork. That night she screamed with knee pain and now her nose is congested. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I'm wondering if it is coincidence or a food allergy.AM

I have two children with cf and one has food allergies. She would get migrains on a daily basis. I tried everything, and the CF clinic was not really concerned. After speaking to our family doctor, he suggested starting at the beginning with allergery testing. I found a great doctor, who was more like a grandfather. He made a lot of sense talking about what we crave is normally something we shouldn't have. Her cravings were chocolate milk and popcorn.....she ate it everyday. You guessed it, she was allergic to both. The protein in the milk was the worst. Once I was able to get the milk and corn out of her system she was like a different child. No more headaches, no more mood swings. It has been tough to keep these food items away from her. If you look at food labels its hard to stop it from coming into her system. But she has gotten better of the past two years. Now she can eat a bowl of ice cream and be ok. But I never let her have ice cream or milk two days in a row. By the third day I can see her milk mood coming back. It's hard to watch there food, but well worth it for them and your sanity.RhondaTriplets 2w/cf age 9
