Take it from someone who works in customer service. IT IS NEVER OK TO YELL OR SWEAR AT SOMEONE WHO IS TRYING TO PROVIDE YOU WITH GOODS OR SERVICES!!! At the very least you will not get what you want, at worst you'll get the cops called on you. I had a customer today (I work at a check cashing place) who wanted to cash a large check. It took some time for me to verify a few things on it. Then I had to get the ok from my manager because it was $1750(personal check). I came back to tell the customer that we would be able to only pay him a part of the check until we could verify more information during business hours. All I got out was "I spoke with my manager and...." Then he just starts yelling at me "What's the problem, I cash checks here all the time, give me my check back, take my information out of the computer!!!" I tried to tell him that he didn't let me finish and that we would be able to help him but he just kept going not letting me talk! FInally I said "One moment, I'll get my manager" (though he probably didn't hear me because he was still having a fit). I got the manager who had the exact same problem that I did trying to talk to him (oh yeah, I was having a good cry in the back room at this time because I'm sleep deprived today and get emotional when I don't get my beauty rest). So guess what, instead of leaving with SOME money, he left with NO money. My point is, at least be polite and you'll get what you want.

It is so hard not to take those times personally. If you get to the point that it doesnt bother you then I think you would come across bitter & cold which is not good either. Remember that those a$$es are usually the exception to the rule. Most people are nice, but it only takes that one to wipe out your memory of the nice ones. Sorry you had a bad day!
