G-tube and PJ's

My daughter is getting a G-tube this next week. She is almost 8 months old. She will be on a drip at night and I am wondering what PJ's are best at night for the hook up. We are currently using an NG tube and have the PJ's that snap at the bottom. Would a shirt and pants be better or can you run the tube down through the snaps? Just a random question.....

I remember a while back I had read about a cf mom designing an iron on patch for infant pj's. After you iron on the patch you clip out the fabric opening in the center and the tube can peek right through the jammies etc. I just googled and found tummy tunnels. I think that was the same patches. www.tummytunnels.com. It's such a good idea.

My oldest son was 6 years old when he got his button but he still likes to wear PJ's. We always just did the PJ shirt and PJ bottoms as seperates. We did have footsie PJ's for the one night a week that he didn't have to do his formula that you could wear. With doing this is still got a chance to wear some of his favorite PJ's even though he had to do milk.

Emily was 18 months old when she got her tube. I wondered the same thing, once winter rolled around. I wanted to put her in blanket sleepers. I did something similar to the tummy tunnels. I ironed on a square of fusible no-fray interfacing to the inside of her jammies, right at about where the tube was. Then I just cut a slit for the tube to go through. WOrked like a charm. Maybe I should have pattened it, huh?

Now that I have a grown up 3 year old, she just wears two piece jammies or nightgowns. We don't have trouble with the tube. If she wants to wear "footie jammies" this winter I'll cut holes again.
