I have had horrible abdominal cramping, diarrhea, pain, very bad muscle aches, sore neck and back, and low grade fever since this morning. It came on suddenly and hard. I had to go into my daughter's class and pull her out so I could drive home and get into bed.
I think its unrelated, but I began Ceftin last night bc over the weekend I felt mucusy and had pain in my lower lobes.
I've been on Ceftin about 50 times in my life-this can't be an allergic reaction, I really doubt it. But it doesn't feel like your average stomach flu. Anyone hear of this kind of bug going around?
What are you doing for something like this? This would probably be my first case of stomach flu-I guess maybe it is this bad?

Well, to update...so I had some cantaloupe last week, and several days later I began abx for my lungs. Then monday-tues I had the horrible pain, body aches, diahr, and low fever...exactly what cnn is describing as the reaction to the bad cantaloupe...
DS just had a stomach bug; however, he didn't have cramping or pain. Started with loose stools, low grade fever, the ended up with vomiting. Lasted about a week. When I called his daycare to explain they didn't need to pick him up from school last week and why, the director said "Oh, guess he's the first one to get it this year" So sounded to me like a rotavirus.
