Last week i called the CF Clinic about Graycie coughing and having a snotty nose. They said to go to her ped just to have them listening to her. We went last friday and found she never got rid of the ear infection that she had a month ago. Lungs seemed fine. Breathing a little fast but was 96% level. Got sent home with another antibiotic, Omnicef. Today she's worse. Coughed all nite long. She can't breathe. Chokes when she eats cuz she can't breathe. Then she gags trying to swollow because so much mucus. I am so frusterated. Then on top of everything one daughter threw up in middle of nite and i was up cleaning her up and bedding. We have been so sick this winter. I am checking my other kids why they been sick. But thats another story.

Poor Grayson. Did the clinic ever do a culture and to see what abx might work best for her. I had a similar experience when DS was a baby -- I was forever holding him over sinks, floor drains, etc. 'cuz he would cough so hard he'd vomit. Took him to the regular clinic and was told his lungs were clear and that "they (cfers) cough, that's what they do"
Few weeks later still coughing, took him to the CF doctor and was told he had bronchitis. Did a culture and he was culturing an enterbactor bug that he probably picked up at the NICU. Grr!
