Going into hospital

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I won't be on the boards for a little bit soon. I'm going in for IVs either sometime today or this weekend depending on when a bed is available for me. My doc has my bed order put in as Urgent, and that I'll be in for a short time. I'll let everyone know when I'm going in, and Cory will try to keep everyone posted about how I'm doing and when I'm coming out. Keep me in your thoughts guys, as this is the first time I've been on IVs in about 10 years. Scary stuff, but I know I need it.

Thanks for letting us know. IV's suck, but you should feel so much better afterwards.

Yeah!!!! Which is an odd thing to say sort of..but you know what I mean. I so hope this puts a little pep back in your step. Beware of bugs in there make everyone wash their hands in front of you and ask a miliiion questions about the RT equpiment and it's cleanliness. You know...be YOU You'll do fine *big hug*

Good luck, Liz.
Now make them all wash their hands and stuff before they come anywhere near you.
And try to stay as active as you can so you don't loose all that nice new muscle.

Will be thinking of you.

hang in there Liz-it sucks, it's an inconvenience, it's annoying-did I mention it SUCKS!?

But you gotta do it-and when you know it you know it. This is just a teeny set back, just you taking a break...nothing more. Don't think-'oh man, I haven't needed iv's in 10 years, oh no....'

Think 'wow-this is amazing! I made it 10 years without iv's, what an accomplishment'-cause it really is!

Do what you gotta do. This will pass-you'll be out soon! And while you are taking care of yourself-you will be SO missed!!! My little ball of sunshine! I might be away on my trip by the time you get back-if so-thinking of you, and can't wait to hear about your progress! HUGS

When it becomes time to do a round of iv's ,its best to get them done and over with and get back to feeling like your self again as soon as possible. Dont forget to wipe everything down with alcohol swabs that you will touch just as extra insurance. You don't want anything leaving with you. Hope you feel much better quickly!
