Going Out of Town

Hello everyone, I need some advice.. Well it is Thanksgiving time and it is our turn to go to my in-laws.. Ashton just got put on Septra and increased breathing treatments.. I am a little edgy on whether we should go or not. It is a 3 hour drive so not to bad there.. I was just wondering if anyone backs out on plans due to their CF. Even though hes not in the hospital i just always think that what if we get there and he has a horrible exacerbation or something.. We will be gone one night (as long as we can get him to sleep there) <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Go. I go places regardless of what crap my CF has me doing. Two years ago, I even drove down to visit a friend (about 5 hours from here) in the middle of June with broken AC... on IV meds.

Unless someone you know is sick or turns out to be sick, I, personally, wouldnt avoid going.

If you stop doing things each time CF throw a curve ball life would be very dull.

You will need to take extra care. Do the best about hygeiene & rest etc, but to cut it all out I dont think is ne3eded.

I've been facing this as well this week. My girls have been sick for about 2 weeks now and I'm feeling a little under the weather as well. We are going to a friends house about 4 hours away and they are having 3 other families with small children over for dinner. I'm going to call my friend to have her check with the other families to see if anyone is sick.
I do agree you can't let CF rule your life it's just hard to balance sometimes.
