Going to DisneyWorld

Hi everyone, I know this has been covered before, but I am going to DisneyWorld in two weeks and have some questions. I know there is a way to avoid having to wait in all the long lines for rides since I have CF, but what do I have to do?? I think I remember reading before that a doctor's note is no longer required to get the disability pass. I do have a handicap sticker for my car, should I bring that to show them?? Does my whole party get to skip the line with me??  Any advice would be great. Thank you!

I generally just ask for a wheelchair ( I have some trouble with walking all through the park). Being in the wheelchair I generally don't have to stand (or sit) in line. Also the person pushing the chair goes with me. Hope this helps. Have fun at Disney!

We went last winter. The GAC (Guest Assistance Card), isn't intended to be a front of the line pass, but we found that we got to use the fastpass or wheelchair entrance. So we still had to wait in line for some of the more popular rides, but not an excessive amount of time. Think it allowed for up to 6 people.

One thing that came in handy is instead of carrying a water bottle -- is that you can go up to any snack bar, stand and ask for a glass of water and they'll give it to you. So don't worry about having to buy water or using drinking fountains.

We are here now!!! Got our GAC at Guest Relations office. Very nice people. I hardly got the words out of my mouth, "My son has CF and...." she just nodded and came back with a card. I had the nurse email me the doctor's request with their contact info just in case (so I could show them on my phone and have less paperwork with me), but never needed it. It's coming in quite handy to Fast Pass everything. He feels special, too. Makes his sister thank him for every ride. I'll let you know how things go at Magic Kingdom today. Yesterday was Animal Kingdom.
