Great special on TV.

I just happened to catch a special on one of our local stations about Children's Hospital. They hit on a lot of topics like cancer and pain management, but there was a very good segment about their work with CF. They interviewed Dr. Bonnie Ramsy who was my doctor when I went there! Seattle Children's Hospital is one of the leaders in CF care and research. They are the best Children's Hospital in Washingotn, Alaska, Idaho, and Montana. They have an uncompensated care program (we were not able to pay for all of my brother's and my care when we were kids).

This show just put me in a really good mood, so I thought I'd share! I go to the adult clinic now, but I remember Children's fondly.

Just reading this to Mark, he remembers it fondly too. You and he must have been going there at the same time.... He remembers being the poster child for CF, met Mike Regan..... I'll have to show you his little boy pictures and see if you remember his face, send me some of yours....

My parents probably have all of my little kid pictures. I don't know that I would remember him. We mostly went to the clinic in Portland for regular check ups. We only came to Seattle when we were sick (better care than Portland) and if they were starting a new treatment that Portland didn't have yet (like when the PEP came out). We didn't start going there regularly until we moved to Washington just before I turned 16. When I was a kid it was a 7 hour drive to get here so we only made the trip when it was serious.
