Great Strides Fundraiser Ideas...?

So this is my first official post to the big boards... how exciting! It's in regards to Great Strides and I'm wondering who has participated and if you've done any fundraisers that have worked particularly well. This will be our 4th year and though we have done pretty well for ourselves with donations in the past, I suspect that things will be a little different this time with the state of the economy and all. We've done restaurant fundraisers, can shakes, and back in college we organized a residence hall fundraiser, but this year I'm kind of at a loss. Does anyone do anything particularly effective or fun with your team to raise money? Any & all ideas would be great! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Also... any Great Strides walkers from Pt. Pleasant, NJ?

I've never been involved, because I don't live close to where the event is taking place. But I am wondering if maybe I could do a Great Strides fundraiser through my school and the students could do the walk on school grounds or something? I wonder if that would be allowed. My students know I have CF and many other students do, too, as well as staff. I could even do a CF talk in science classes to explain what the disease is. Anyway, it's just something I've been considering. If anyone has done anything like it or has suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
