Ours was was a week and a half ago and was 4.5 miles -- due to springtime flooding the walking bridges over the river had been removed and some of the bikepaths were underwater -- so we had to change the route and walk the streets and sidewalks. Least we had wonderful weather -- previous years we had rain and snow! Liza aka ratatosk

Ours is on Saturday and six miles too. I'm trying to figure how what to do with our little ones should they decide six miles in a stroller isn't going to work for them. We've had rain for five days now, so I'm really hoping the weather will turn around for us!

Christi,
I'm not sure about Indy, but at ours (in Plainfield) we have a choice of a 1.5 mile or a 3 mile, I believe. And there is only 1 adult (21) at ours. Welcome to join us on Sunday <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0">)

You could check with the local chapter and see if they have a vehicle(s) who can come pick up walkers. We have one break station at the halfway point -- some walks have two and a lot of times we send walkers back with the snackmasters. Two years ago the snackmaster was delayed because the 80 year old mother of a cfer insisted on walking and had to be picked up.

Ours was 6 miles, the same as yours. They had people available if someone needed to be picked up, or had any problems. Good luck at your walk. Ours was May 6th and was great.

Our walk is this weekend also. I am getting pretty nervous about it. I am not sure what to expect or if I have done everything correctly...lol...oh well if not what are they going to do, ban me?
