I have a quick question. I am doing the Great Stride Walk with my daughters class. Who are the checks made out to?
The foundation, teams name, the chapter?????? I can't seem to find anything on this. I want to make sure the money is credited to her team. After her graduating class of 2011 found out she had CF and that is the reason why she misses alot of school they wanted to help. Not bad for a bunch of 14 and 15 year old. The younger generation is really amazing. I am hoping to hit alot of the companies to help them out. Thanks for any help that you can give on this subject.

The checks are made out to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Contact your local office and they can help you with everything! Go to cff.org to find the closest office. That is very sweet of her friends to want to help.

Each walk may be different, but typically at the 2 walks we do, the team captain turns in the donations collected by all the walkers on the team, OR, the t eam name is written on the collection envelope, so it will be credidted to her team correctly. Wow. That was a long sentence.

Checks are made out to CFF.

It's great of the kids to walk for her! I teach second grade, but our 5th graders (they were in my room when Emily was born) are forming a team this year. Kids really are good at heart.

Good luck with your walk!

Thanks! I think kids are more accepting to things. Her class knows she is going through a really hard time right now. Her heart has been racing and they now think it is due to her kidneys. THey did a stress test 10 days ago and stopped her in stage 2. Her heart hit 178. She is retaining fluid like no tomorrow. I don't know if it's the IV's anti she came off of at the end of February that did her in. I just really want to do this walk with her class. Iam in the helpless stage right now. I think it is the not knowing how to fix this. So, the walk will be great.

I know this was a little long....People that don't have a child or loved one with CF don't get how bad this is. How sick they get. One of her tutors wanted to come over and mentioned she had a small sinus infection. I told her no way could she come in our house.

Again thanks for the info. I will hit the pavement running on Monday to start collecting.
