This is nice; we had a major holiday with no major crisis! We really enjoyed the 4th. We went to my former boss's house for a BB-Q & fireworks viewing. They have a great view of the fireworks where they live. They BB-Q'ed chicken, hamburgers & hotdogs. It don't get more American, White Trash than that! There was home-made macaroni & cheese, vegetable & dip trays and just about every type of chip & dip known to man. For dessert there was banana pudding with Vanilla Wafers & cupcakes. I ate two heaping plates of food along with snacking a bit before supper. I even drank ONE BEER! That was the first beer I've had since last January. We got to see lots of people we know & love and we made some new friends. I feel so fortunate to have these people in my life. I spent the last 10 years of my career working with them. They've treated me like a member of their family ever since. We feel very blessed; blessed for the good fortune of being born American & blessed with the caliber of people in our lives.
