Hard Tap Water

Hey Girls,

I'm just curious. Jake and I are intending to get our public water tested because we heard that Muhlenberg's Public Water System is HIGH in Lime. Upon testing positive, we will install a water softner.

IN THE MEANTIME...

I was doing some research and found some studies suggesting that hard tap water can cause miscarriages within the first trimester. Have any of you experienced this? Please share your thoughts. We are thinking of trying "naturally" starting this cycle so I'll be ovulating mid-December. Now, we have been trying "naturally" for 2 years so odds aren't in my favor, but I would fall over if I got pregnant and miscarried...

We have very hard water here in Western NY. If I do not spray the shower with Method shower cleaner after each and every shower there is hard water build up. The hard water makes a white film on the surfaces. We mostly drink water filtered through our fridge but I will drink a glass of two a day from the tap. So with all of that said, I would not worry about the hard water.

I have alwasy had hard water adn I have alwasy drank water fromt he tap, so I wouldn't worry about it unless you have nitrates or unsafe conditions somehow. You can call your water company for a copy of the water tests they do which will tell you what is in your water and at what levels.
