headaches during PFT's

How many of you get just TERRIBLE headaches during your PFT's? The last spirometry I had done was 2 days ago & I still have a dull headache & it worries me because during the spirometry, when I blast out the air, my head hurts like an ice cream headache (but much worse) , and at the same time, I feel like I could pass out. I just wonder what's happening up there to make it hurt so much & how common this is? Thank you for any responses.

I'm guessing the lack of oxygen causes the lightheadedness...i see "stars" pretty much everytime i do one.

I have a real problem with things going black while trying to breath in during those test I have passed out doing them. Also after doing them when I try to get up. At least I know I'm not the only one I thought I was a freak.

My last PFT on 6/8 was the worst feeling ever. After the 2nd try, I felt like I was stoned/drunk. It came to a crash landing with a pounding headache. I try very hard not to do it from my "throat", but more from my "belly" like my choir teacher use to say to do in school. However, but having to do the force required its not always easy.
